Scientific and Medical Advisory Board Member
Dr. Charlie Kim is Chief Scientific Officer of Tesorai, where he leads development of AI-powered platforms for molecular analysis. He earned his PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at Stanford University and pioneered genomic and bioinformatic approaches to infectious disease research. After joining the faculty at UCSF Department of Medicine, he expanded his work into translational immunogenomics before moving to Verily, where he served as Head of Molecular Science. There, he led development of laboratory and computational platforms for digital pathology and deep multiomics that were deployed in studies of immune function across autoimmune disease, cancer immunology, and infectious disease. Dr. Kim also led the molecular science components of major human research initiatives including PRESCO and Project Baseline. He advises organizations advancing translational immunology, including the Michael J. Fox Foundation and the Human Immunome Project.
